Liquid in bottle rendering with red

Anyone have any idea how to get rid of the red on the bottom of these bottles rendering in Maya/Vray. Its supposed to render clear. It renders fine in older versions of Maya with older shaders. I have Refractive GI turned off in render settings. I tried turning the Max Depth way up. I made sure all the normals are correct. It has UV’s. The red seems to be even worse on some other older bottles that used to render fine which I imported and tried using a new shader on. There is fog color in both of of the bottles. When I turn it off (to white) the red goes away. But I’d like to keep the fog color in both bottles. I don’t use Vray much so maybe I’m missing something really obvious. Not sure what else to try. I’m including the Maya file in the Google drive link below.

I never understood or got along with fog color  It’s got finicky values i.e. taking it to way more saturation would create unexpected colors in refraction. Switching your translucency model to volumetric removes the red edges, so perhaps its something to explore. However if you want to have no scattering and only set the color of the liquid I would use refraction color instead and leave the fog color white. In the case of clear liquid you still had some fog color values even low ones. Setting those to 0 will remove the red edge.

I would also recommend to set high refraction values for the bottle, since your refraction is getting clipped right now.

Wow, thanks so much! I think I can live with switching to the Volumetric model and adding Refraction Color. And thanks for catching that my refractions were clipped. Really appreciate your help!

EDIT: Actually, change the Fog Color Value to 0.99 (not 1) to avoid full opaqueness, and it should be fixed.

Wow. Totally worked. Thanks so much! Really nice to feel like I can use Fog if i want to.
