hi everyone

here is the first WIP image from a series of images i need to put together for next friday of 4 different schools in london.

i’ll post more and updates as they are done along the way - so any C & C’s would be most welcome.

very well done. no real criticisms IMO…but what kind of flooring is it. it doesn’t stand out one way or another to me

Brilliant, love the composition/camera angle and detail in the balustrade, wow. Only comment is maybe pop a skirting board along the lower floor, the perfect junction between floor and wall stands out to me?
Is the flooring rubber?

very nice! only one thing, there seem to be missing something on the stairs. the “things” that holds the glass at 3 places. :slight_smile:

the flooring is carpet, but it doesn’t have much of a texture to it, quite smooth in it’s feel.

happy to share the ballustrade if anyone needs it

i’ll keep the update coming as and when they roll off the production line!!

Very nice ambience from the lighting. It will probably never look that good in real life.

The brits do love their carpet…

nice stuff steve…only thing I noticed is the wood grain on those chairs seems to be going the wrong way ?

Terrific stuff; nice lighting, textures, everything! Good job.

I did notice one little thing. The top of the stairs has brackets for holding a piece of glass where there can’t be any glass. Minor detail.

thanks for pointing out the missing glass on the ballustrade.

here is another WIP image from the same project. i’m having a bit of trouble getting a clean render from the louvred grill. the settings are fairly high but its still causing me grief!

What’s the modelling & texturing method & AA used ? Great texturing this far, looks promising :wink:

I’d be curious to know myself…i assume Adapt subdiv since it’s a good candidate for it and the way the ceiling grid gets blurred out at an angle. What are you’re render times?

One tiny thing i didn’t notice before…are those stools on the left really supposed to be that high?

modelled in max, some of the textures are arrowway and the AA is adaptive subdiv.

here is the final, we delivered all the final images this morning at 2 am after a very long day!!!
