Long time to export video

Hello all. Thanks in advance for any advice! I am new to Enscape and real time but have been using other rendering programs for several years. I have quick question..my site rendering is taking a few hours to export. I have my settings under general tab for rendering quality set as high and under capture tab, the resolution is set at 1080, FPS 30 and panorama at normal. The initial rendering upload is real quick and so is preview and panoramas. Its only the exporting that is taking 3 to 4 hours . Thank you!

Hi @RCICOMPANY , the rendering time depends on

  • Complexity of the model (poly count)
  • Resolution
  • Frames per Second
  • Duration of the Video
  • Used GPU

Could you share more information about the setup and the rendered video?

Hi Jonathan,

  • face count is 588,269 (I have ton of landscaping, two buildings, and grades since its site development plan, I did run clean up on it)

*Resolution 1080 (I tried 720 but didn’t speed it up)

  • frames per second 25 (lowered to this after reading but still didn’t quicken process)

*Duration 1 min 30 secs

  • Used GPU, GPU is Nividia geoforce 940 max, Intel graphics 620, while enscape is rendering the intel is 3.02 GHz and 15 % utilization and Geoforce graphic card says 89% utlilization, dedicated GPU is 1.6/2,0 GB, GPU memory 1.8/9.9 GB (this is while exporting is happening)…have feeling its graphics utilization?

The snap view of images is almost instant. The initial loading is seconds. Its only the exportation of video takes anywhere from 3 - 10 hours depending on file.

Thank you so much for your help.

@RCICOMPANY do you set up time of day for the keyframes explicitly? If so, does video export work faster if you don’t use this feature, i.e. time of day stays constant?

I just solved my problem. I just bought new computer and it did massive update and it changed my settings. It was going to sleep mode which was stopping the exporting. Also the maximum processing speed was at 85…changed it to 100. It is moving now!! I hope this post can help someone else who is having these issues. Your program is amazing tool!

but how do u check the maximum processing speed??

It’s under power management and options.
