Is there any way to get more light inside that small area market on the photo?
The scene has only a HDRI and some IES, and as in real life, there is no light pointing directly into that area, but i still think that is out of the context with that shade of black.
So is there any way to get more light there without adding extra artificial lights?
you could just make a very subtle fill light that’s facing your shelves with only the shelves add to the include list for the light, that way it won’t light anything else in the scene
I would suggest to first populate the scene, at least those shelves with desired objects and then see how much light you actually need there.
Then decide what is the best way to boost the area, but probably in this case as burnin said, do it in post. If you can, and hopefully you can, maybe introduce some led-strip backlighting for the shelves.
