can anyone tell me, when i use Mado setting to render, why it can produce shadow in the output, i found no shadow altough default light is turn on ??? ???
Re: MADO setting
I’m not familiar with those settings, but the missing shadows can be caused by many things.
What kind of lightning are you using?
Did you used Physical Camera?
Re: MADO setting
Also, it could be the time of day which your scene is set to. I’ve seen a few people ask similar question where it turned out the sun was located at around noon and the shadows where nearly invisible due to that.
Re: MADO setting
Definitely, there are lot’s of reasons that can cause shadows invisible. And by the question asked here there’s just not enough info to figure out what’s the issue.
Re: MADO setting
i used phisycal camera, usually when i set up my own setting (with no physical camera, default light on)it can produce the shadow, but when i used the MADO setting (which i download from download section) i can’t see the shadow
Re: MADO setting
What kind of lightning are you using? GI or Rec light ?
If you want, you can send me the .skp file and ill check it. (If you using VfSU v1.00)
Re: MADO setting
very kind 40th, but i dont know how to post my skp file ???, sorry i’m new in this forum ;D, i use only the GI without any rec light or omni light.
Re: MADO setting
Send it by eMail AtTop@Live.com
Or if it’s larger than 10mb you can upload the file at www.rapidshare.com
Re: MADO setting
very kind 40th, thanks for your help, here is my skp file.
Re: MADO setting
No problem.
I rendered the scene without changing any settings.
the shadows appear just fine.
Re: MADO setting
very kind 40th, ya i’ve tried to, but how can i change the shadow setting(time setting) because i set up the shadow from sketchup shadow setting but the shadow didn’t change according my time set up.
Re: MADO setting
It’s a known issue in the original release of vfsu. Every time you change SU’s sun location you need manually update Vray’s sun. Just go to Environment>GI>Sun>press the ‘default’ button and reapply the default setting (witch are Su’s sun Location).
Re: MADO setting
thanks so much, very kind of you 40th, so helpful. now i think i should improve my skill on texture to make it more realistic. thanks… ;D
;D
;D
Re: MADO setting
No problem
Re: MADO setting
I still get this issue in the version I am using, v1.5
Re: MADO setting
Hate to bring up an old thread but, using the Madoext. setting as well as an HDRI in the environment slot doesn’t produce Sketchup shadows. I am using SU7 Pro, and the latest release of VFSU. Any ideas??
Re: MADO setting
If you use an HDRI both for the GI and the BG, and using physical camera- the shadows won’t be sharp but will be vague (very soft)
Re: MADO setting
Thanks 40th!, I had physical camera on but searching further in the forums I found that resetting the sky would make the sketchup shadows sync with Vray. I hope this helps anyone searching for this same answer.
Re: MADO setting
IAmarchitecture, I would be very interesting in your settings if you manage to use an environment HDRI on an exterior scene without ‘blotching’. I could never really get it to render clean.
Re: MADO setting
Hey edonk! I will try a quick render on a project from school to test it out. Check back soon.
