Hi there,
We have several floating licenses for the Enscape Collection. For some time now, this collection has also included “Chaos Credits.” We keep all of these credits in a “shared pool,” and the credit limit for all users is set to unlimited. We use these shared pool credits primarily for Veras. Until around the end of June 2026, that amounted to roughly 56,000 credits for 12 licenses. We’ve always managed just fine with that number of credits. Now I’ve returned from vacation, and my users are telling me that Vera is reporting we’re running out of credits. I checked this in Chaos Credits Management: Suddenly, I’m only seeing 18,000 credits. Apparently, something was changed with the credits while I was away. Hmm, great—a reduction to 30% of the original amount. And apparently, usage is now being recalculated entirely, because we’ve never had a credit shortage before, and now all of a sudden we’re getting a credit limit warning about halfway through the billing month. But now to the actual question: In the “Organization” section of Chaos Credits Management, the credits in the shared pool aren’t displayed reliably in my admin account. The number of available credits in the shared pool overview is simply wrong. Shouldn’t the credits used by individual users (which are also displayed in the overview) be deducted from the number of available credits shown in the shared pool overview? But no, incorrect values are displayed in the shared pool. First 18,000 available credits (even though the total credits used by users is already at 15,000), then 17,970, and after another refresh, suddenly only 17,715. In NO case, however, are the mathematically correct remaining credits displayed. Am I doing something wrong? To me, the whole thing looks like utter chaos and makes it impossible for me to assess whether we need additional credits or not. Where can I find precise instructions on how to reliably manage an organization’s shared pool? Where can I find out why our 56,112 credits have suddenly dropped to 18,000 and why that amount won’t even last half a month anymore?
