Another one of these white mansions. I know, kind of heavy on the color grading, but this is what this client likes.

Yes, I kept working on them after the client signed off. For some reason, he likes the overly warm look.
How do you grade them?
You should try phase one for grading if you are interested .Has controls that are similar to movie grading applications, which make for subtle but powerful colours . Easy to use too .

only apps like davinci resolve give greater and easier tools for colour grading and I would love to use it on images. But free version is limited to 4k and it’s kind of a hassle to use it for images as it is made for videos .
I downloaded and installed it, along with a couple drivers it needed. I launched and it was looking for a specific extension, so I removed everything. I’ll look at it again, maybe watch some videos first.

Ok, when you have I’d love to talk about colour grading . It’s a topic that not even a lot of photographers get into on a serious level, even though they should. Compared to movies that is .
some of the best grading luts i have found are these and used directly in photoshop, saves a tone of time in grading, i forgot to say, they have a before and after image, so usually its nice to try add a color balance under the lut and get it similar to their before image then the lut more or less looks like their after image, really powerful

Me personally, I don’t fancy luts so much. They always seem nice but as you said, you need to have the same base material to have the same result. I also find it cumbersome to further adjust the image after applying the lut and am faster doing the grade from scratch, especially if there is a very certain look I’m after.
that said, whatever works for you is fine obviously
