Manual light control

A request from our architects is for a manual toggle to turn on lights. I know at the moment it does this automatically based on time of day, but sometimes they want to showcase the lighting during a lighter point. Can an option be added to change lights from Automatic to Manual, followed by an on/off tick box?

Thank you

Hi @Masterdoddy ,

actually there isn’t any automatic in place to toggle the lights based on the time of day. However depending on the light’s brightness it might not be clearly visible during daytime. Fortunately you can overwrite the brightness value of all lights in the Enscape settings window (Advanced tab) to be brighter (or less bright).

Hope that helps!

@Clemens

Would it be possible to increase the artificial light slider to more than 200%?

Certainly technically possible, however we’ll have to check if larger values result in any undesirable graphic effect. This is something we usually want to avoid.

You should be able to set it up with turning on/off layers.

That’s right. In Rhino and SketchUp you can quickly turn lights on/off if you place them all on the same layer und switch it’s visibility.

+1 to this option from me! Would be cool!
