in the past the material env slot allow to control the gloss effect, but now there is no visible effect anymore. Is it broken?

Hey @Micha , you should still be able to make use of the keyword “glossyenvironment”. 
Could you briefly let me know how you’ve used to control the gloss effect exactly?
Sorry, I didn’t tried it to use it some months and you are right, I forget that a keyword was needed to enable the effect. Will I be glad if the Enscape material editor will be available for Rhino. Thank you very much.

In the material name.
@gautier_2 , you just have to put the keyword into the name of your material to make use of its functionality.
