Ok, I’ve a simple question.
How can I map a cube with different materials applied to different faces?
Thanks!

Re: Mapping
Yes!
Just explode the cube bengiamin!! ![]()
Re: Mapping
Explode is’nt good decision ;D Vray does’nt love exploded objects. You may use different mapping channels for each cube side. Then you should adjusting them manually ![]()
There’s other variant. You may try to unrapUVN the cube, and then in PS you may apply textures individually
Re: Mapping
Explode is a good option. why not? apply different materials to each side of the cube and edit the texture mapping keeping all of them with a single channel. Just adjust the rotation and the position of the Mapping widgets.
Re: Mapping
Does All the materials you want to apply include Textures? or they are simply Textureless materials?
Re: Mapping
I would like to understand the method using different channel in diffuse. Is there any kind of tutorial? I’m breaking my head!
Well, exploding the cube is a solution…but it’s an extreme solution, I wouldn’t like to explode anthing.
So…what about different diffuse channels?
Thanks
Re: Mapping
if you explode the edges may become jaggy, they wont render seamless
Re: Mapping
Workaround: extract render mesh and than extract the needed mesh parts/faces. So, the connection between two faces are not jagged.
