Material assignments shift on copies of objects

I’m new to Envision and testing out vrscene imports from some of our past models and I noticed some peculiar shifts in material assignments on 2nd copies of objects in the models. The models are SketchUp 2025 and 2026 versions and the vrscene exports are from the latest Enscape plugin 4.15.0.276. To see if the type of object has an impact I put together a simple model of cubes with components, groups and loose geometry to see what would happen and I’m puzzled by the results. Only the loose geometry retained the proper assignments. Things shifted for the 2nd copy with Components and Groups. The materials are applied to the faces only. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

There was an information message from the import: V-Ray Scene Import: Unhandled object “_VolumeAerialPerspective” of type VolumeAerialPerspective.

Hello, this behavior is very likely related to the exporter. I am reporting it to our internal bug tracker for further review so we can evaluate how, and if, it can be improved to better support Envision-related workflows. Internal [EC-3039]

I keep checking on this with every Enscape plugin update and every new version of Envision and it’s still not resolved for vrscene exports. Enscape = 4.18.1 and Envision = 1.7.0. Materials are interpreted correctly when I do a live link SketchUp > Envision.

Hello, unfortunately, the issue has not yet been resolved. I will raise the ticket’s priority and provide further updates as soon as they become available. Thank you for your patience.
