material menu doesn't exist

hey guys,
i have SU7.1.6 pro+vray 1.05 installed and everything works fine except the “vray material editor”. when i right-click on the object to assign a vray material there is nothing to select.
does anyone know what’s the problem?

We don’t support that workflow anymore. To apply materials use the Sketchup paint bucket or select the geometry that you want top apply the material, then open the material editor by clicking on the first icon in the V-Ray toolbar, the one with the “M”, and right click on the desired material, then selec “apply material to selection”
