so does the render look ok …
because normally its just a warning.
Thanks for your reply,
No its awfull, super bright primary colours scattered everywhere, seems to only happen when im using GI - ok when off but then the scene is dull and lifeless.
Cheers
Mark
ok …what lights are you using ?
just GI ?
post a screen shot
Ive used omni’s and targeted spots!
Are you using any Raytraced Maps of materials?
You should not, if any, substitude for Vray Maps & Material.
Eventually, in some scene, with funny red&white unwished pattern appearing, Merging your scene into brand new one solves it.

Cheers Fermi, ill try that.
What about lights, any I should avoid? should I stick to vray lights or skylight? Thanks
I’ve been able to use raytraced materials, but if you do, don’t use any specularity…that seems to blow everything out.
Simple, in many cases that’s enough to solve the pb :
1) Clamp every map to 100 in self illum, specular and glossiness
2) Check “apply crop” on every bitmaps
3) Avoid 3dsmax’s built-in raytrace system. Use Vray’s instead
4) Avoid using shadow maps + vray shadows. Use vray shadows alone.
This may solve the problem, but let us know if it’s not working. ![]()
