Hi all,
suddenly my MAX 7 got corrupted somehow.
Anytime I try to pull down the modifiers menu (once I selected an object), MAX freezes for a minute or so, then comes back, but no menu.
This happens with any scene, even a blank one (default).
I “repair” the installation, from Windows add/remove software; I “repair” from the MAX7 disk; I un-installed and re-installed the software…Nothing to do.
Any idea?

Odd. Have you swapped graphics drivers?
Try launching Max with software display drivers and see if there is any change.
When you uninstalled did you make sure the directory was completely emptied?
I believe max would leave 3rd party plugins, etc in those folders and if there is something corrupted there it would continue with a fresh install if the directory wasn’t cleared out. Something to check anyway.

actually yes, reinstalling in the old folcer would not work.
I had to rename the corrupted folder, and reinstall a fresh one.
The new one works fine.

Next time try deleting your 3dsmax.ini file first before going through the pains of reinstalling. That fixes 90% of Max UI problems.
