Has anyone installed the Q824136 Hotfix for Max? If, so, did you have any issues with it and/or did it do what it’s supposed to (i.e. restabilize Max)?
worked fine here. Max’s stability wasn’t a problem though, just couldn’t open files saved on a patched workstation on a non patched station.

Microsoft Hotfix 823980 fixed the vulnerability that allowed virii to attack certain ports. However it caused problems with max, particularly when opening files from a patched machine on an unpatched machine.
Microsoft Hotfix Q824136 is a beta patch that fixes these problems.
