I updated to V-Ray 7 for SketchUp (Update 3). I haven’t had time to enjoy all the new features yet, but I’m already fully “enjoying” the memory leaks. I’m working on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with SketchUp 2025 and try to configure everything for GPU rendering. After the update, I can literally run a test render about three times and hit the memory limit (64 GB). If I keep going, the used memory reaches up to 196 GB and SketchUp crashes. SketchUp does release memory after rendering, but less than it actually consumed.
Also, is it safe to downgrade if I have already saved my current project in the new V-Ray version?
Will someone from Chaos look into this, or should I open a ticket?

Thank you for reporting this and for providing the details regarding the memory problems that you’ve encountered.
Our team has already reported the problem. There is a ticket logged in our internal tracking system (SK-5802) and our developers will further investigate it.
In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, downgrading to the previous version, 7.20.02, is safe, yes. Please note that while your existing projects will remain compatible, any new features specifically introduced in version 7.30.00 will not be functional after the downgrade.

We have identified and fixed 2 memory leaks in the Mac version.
