Messy office (WIP)

Hi guys,

Here is an image im working on in my spare time. Ive modelled a fair bit so far, but there’s a lot more to go. This is basically my office…and it will become more messy as time goes on..like the real thing

Hope you like it so far…crits and comments welcome.

(Also, thanks to the guys the helped me out with the LWF stuff, it has proved invaluable to my rendering, much more consistant results.)

Very nice…can’t wait to see it when its done! Keep up the great work!

not messy enough

Probably the tidiest messy office I have ever seen!

This is a WIP so it will get messier. Just need to model a lot more clutter.

looks excellent! grats

that’s looking a bit more untidy.

How about a few coffee stains on the desk and the papers? Perhaps a little stack of empty glasses and coffee cups?

Looking really great so far. Looking forward to the real dirt happening.

Keep it up

This office isnt quite as messy as I would have liked as I wanted to get this project finished. I rendered out the final image, a dirt pass and a volumetric pass. Did some composition and adjustments in photoshop.

So this is the final image…hope you like it. Comments welcome

Cheers
Steve

This is looking very good! You did quite a good job on the smaller details, I especially like the floor. If I try hard, only thing I can crit are the crumpled papers, just don’t look as good and alive as the rest of the scene, especially near the bin.
And funny how the watermark doesn’t really stand out from this mess.

best regards,

A.

Thanks…I think maybe because I wanted to move onto another project I may have skimped on some final modelling…will come back to it at some point to tidy things up (excuse the pun). Just need a break from this for now…

Any other crits welcome…

Man, you ain’t got nothing one me!!!

lol, you have to be kidding !!!

great job. I would add that the monitor screens seem a little lifeless and non photographic. Realistically, you would have a fair amount of glow when a photo is taken of it methinks.

Yeah, i didnt actually add any specular glow to this image..will add that to the list of things to be done

The final came out real nice!!

Nice light.

Cheers man. Does the saturation look ok to you ? …I have a thread regarding my/cient monitor calibration issues and differences. On my screen I over saturated it to compensate…Im wondering if my monitor is wrong. I’ll have to get one of those calibration tools that guy mentioned.

Thanks for comments though..appreciated

Saturation looks ok to me on the last image but it generally does have a yellow cast to it. Not over the top yellow but definitely warmer than the first image in the thread which is generally pretty neutral.

It does look abit over saturated yes.
However to me it looks good, sort of arty. So i dont mind it too much
It is however just a tad to yellow for my tastes.

Like the others said in your other thread, the clients monitors are almost definitly bound to be WAY out of whack

Right, since I recalibrated my monitor and tweaked the lighting (a fair bit) and the meterials, i wanted to share this final final final image. I have added a little bit of DOF and also some specular glow in various areas. I prefer this image to the yellowish version.

Thanks

Much better. Really nice details.

However.. hehe .. I dont really like the DOF, and it seems your room is falling over onto the road
