Hi guys, I have been admiring for quite a while the Minotti style and spent a lot of time in awe just browsing their website. The initial idea was to only showcase the Hamilton sofa that I modeled using 3DS Max (for the metal structure) and Marvelous Designer for the cushions, but as the space was taking shape I wanted to furtherly expand it to reach the balcony and also to a dinning area present right from the living space.
Ola para quem possivelmente falar portugues! e Hello for everybody in english , id liked to put here a question about corona, ive been working in vray for a long time, i use it for interior and exterior rendering, im not a expert in the business sometimes i think my images dont have enough quality to even have a discussion with somebody, in the modeling area or even in the vray rendering area.
the problem is in the business im in, i dont have more than 45 minutes render time for each image, things must be done on the fly, and vray with some low settings does the job sometimes in less time, as you can figure, there is no post production no photoshop, just images to explain what whe want for decoration, or furniture execution.
Sometimes i think im lazy, but i want to know is it worse to spend time with this renderer, i think it is, it is a beautiful peace o software and the images wonderful, i done some tests but i couldnt achieve “realistic” images with the standart settings (still spending some time with it ) so i ask could someone share some knowledge from is experience with corona to achieve the best results in 45 minutes rendering.
For example what where your settings in corona in this images , any tricks , how mutch time to achieve this “clean” image.
Hi guys, thanks again for your precious feedback.
Hi klipanos, I left the renders over night but after about 3/4 hours they were pretty much noiseless. The settings were left at their default values so not much to say there. As a light source I used one of Peter Guthrie’s hdris. johnymrazko Not sure if I will do a complete making of but I will happily post some info on the shaders even though they were pretty basic.
Just to say something ~constructive~ I would say that objects on carpet should be more ‘into’ it… on your first image wheels of the table for example. And the turquoise things on balcony (ashtrays?) are somewhat oldschool CG compare to your whole texturing skills… But that’s really to complain about something It kickasses
Hi!!! As the others said, WELL DONE, everything is very beautiful and incredibly realistic!! especially the carpet
About that could you please tell us your shader’s setting about the carpet?
I’m trying to make it similar, once, but I always gat a “not natural” feeling, I made it look better after I switch to the hair and fur modifier, instead of making it with displacement+bump map…but the render time, and the ram usage.. increased quite a bit…
Again, very nice image
