For texturing of mirror (what we see in the toilet :} )through Vray. I choose these settings. Anyone can tell me changing any setting will give more realistic look.
You can put it in the diffuse channel with an alpha and start playing with the diffuse value.Sorry i don’t have time to make an example for you but with a little experimentetion you can get a nice result.Hope i helped a bit.
A perfect mirror would have a black diffuse I believe because it absorbs no light. Problem is all the light you get off a mirror is reflective caustics, that could take a while.
hmm if you want a nice mirror like in a bathroom, then you dont want a dirtmap. and you do want full reflection.
I would say for a clean highly reflective mirror your settings are fine.
If you wanted a crack mirror in a rundown old mansion (for example) then you would want to lower the relection abit and dirty it up. But apart from that what u got is fine.
But like i said, it all depends on the type of mirror you want and where its placed.

Correct me if im wrong, but once you have a fully reflective material doesnt the diffuse color become irrelevant? Obviously once it drops below fully reflective then it starts playing a part.
