At the moment I’ve tried modeling the cage with splines and the rocks inside each cage using simply a box with 3d displacement with a cellular map applied (bercon noise); it’s not bad but I would like to try with something else, maybe better. For example I would like to learn how to fill a box with geometries, I’ve tried with scatter object but I cannot find a way to avoid geometries overlaps; maybe another way could be using particles? or what ever? how to manage collisions among rocks?
good to konw, I’ve just switched to max design coming from viz so for me all those bells and whistles are still a mistery, probably the time has come to learn something new
I’m with you Zeronove, I just moved from Viz to Max Design as well. Only the other day I decided it was time to try and master reactor but Max design does not seem to ship with any reactor tutorials and I found it very difficult to find any up to date relevant tutorials online.
On the rocks issue I have completed a project where we used gabion walling. I’m not sure it will be up to the detail you require as my version was only getting viewed from a distance (as attached).
