My motherboard fried over the weekend. Really annoying to say the least! Anyway I am wondering when I replace the motherbaord with the same make and model will I have to reauthorize Max and Vray?
The hard drives with the Max and Vray licenses are fine just the motherbaord burnt (southbridge). :evil:

Actually, with the way WIBU keys work, you need to reauthenticate if you move it to a different machine. At least that’s what happens with the WIBU key that we have in the office for FormZ.

It was very bright watching the south bridge burn up though. The smell was horrible. It is still hanging around! I am going to have to look into insurance for this kind of thing. Real pain in the ###!

Dynedain, I thought that one of the advantages of the V-Ray key was that you could move it from one box to another without having to re-auth it?

That’s not the case with the VRay key. You don’t need to authenticate anything, and you can move it around as much as you want.
