Hi,
I just tested a common setup rendering a car (about 90 km/h fast) in a hdri and some 3d building environment.
Now the camera moves the same speed the car does so the car has no mblur but the 3d buildings like it should be.
What surprises me is that the reflektions of the car are sharp … shouldn’t they be blurry too because of the mblur? This doesn’t show up for the 3d models nor of the hdri.
Am I missing something?
cheers

The reflections aren’t moving in the same speed really. Imagine them projection mapped onto your surface if you will. Now, I’m guessing your car is a bit curved. The reflections are more “flowing” on the chassis, correct? If you were to render out an animation, the reflections wouldn’t move with the same speed as the background, since it’s curved. If you had a 100% flat surface, it would be another thing.
Thank you Undersky for the clarification !
