I’m trying to create an animation with Vantage 2.5.1 with Motion Blur but had no succes, i exported the scene as Vray Scene, changed Shutter Speed, activated Motion Blur and rendered as image and video and i don’t have any effects… now i’m wondering if the problem it’s the software, it’s the first time i try to render this effect.
Since this is a post-effect, it is not affected by shutter speed. It has a separate duration parameter in the camera settings. Try setting it to the maximum value and see if it blurs: Chaos Vantage
There is a separate checkbox to toggle it for offline rendering as you’ve probably seen.
Oh wow, I am so glad I noticed this post.
I was about to get a subscription for Vantage for a current job, but the fact that motion blur is now broken would have meant a huge waste of money
and an extremely angry me.
Will this be fixed rapidly, given it’s obviously a pretty major issue?
Hello again comrades. I have downloaded the new version (2.6) and tested my scene again and i see no changes or effect applied. Could you please confirm if the problem has been solved? Thank you very much.
Am I the only one still having issues with motion blur? Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Right now it’s half and half so it’s not even consistent on when it works. As it goes frame to frame, rendering, you can see the motion blur, but as it starts to render the frame the blur goes away and it doesn’t render any blur. It’s frustrating, because it’s there, but it won’t render it in the final frame. I’m using Vantage 3.3.1 and Vray 74004. Or the latest. I am using a standard camera, but it has worked in the past. Any advice?
Hey @georgi.zhekov It looks like vray scatter and vantage motion blur dont get along. Is there a setting somewhere, or something I should avoid? So far converting scatters to max geometry is working, but I don’t like adding thousands objects to a heavy scene
