Is motion blur not working? I think I remember reading that it’s not. If not, do you plan on it working for the next version of VFR?

It is not working (it never worked). It is on the list of features for the next full version, but it is not incredibly high on that list. It’s to early in the development process to say whether it will make it in or not.
