Motion Reprojection doubles Enscape VR performance

I recently came across this article on the Microsoft Windows Mixed Reality site:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/mixed-reality/enthusiast-guide/using-steamvr-with-windows-mixed-reality

I can confirm that the motion reprojection feature works magic with my setup: Enscape 3.4 on Revit 2020, with an HP Reverb G2 VR headset running at 90 Hz and the video resolution set to 50% in the SteamVR settings. (On a Mac Pro, Windows 10, Boot Camp, AMD Radeon Pro W6800X Apple-supplied GPU, standard drivers.)

Enscape VR feels twice as fast. Whenever the square at the top left of the image is blue or cyan, motion reprojection transforms 45 fps into 90 fps and Enscape VR is super smooth. I don’t see an article about this on the Enscape knowledge base or forum, so I guess it’s fairly new.

Note that the dynamic resolution feature doesn’t work with Enscape. Enscape always stays at the resolution you set in SteamVR. But the green-blue-cyan-red 45 fps - for - 90 fps system works. Sometimes it seems to work best when the Windows Mixed Reality Portal window is in the foreground.

(I attach screen captures which aren’t from Enscape since our license is occupied right now. I will add Enscape-specific ones later.)

Here are screen captures of Motion Reprojection active in Enscape for Revit. When the square is green, blue or cyan, VR performance is very smooth. It goes red when too many trees come into view.
