Mouse Speed setting has no effect

Hi

I don’t see any difference if I set the Mouse Speed to 0.30 or 3.00 in Input > Mouse Speed.

I’m working on a large model, and would like the default mouse speed to be fast, so i don’t need to press shift and ctrl all the time.

Should the Mouse Speed not give more default speed when moving aground the model?

Thanks

Jorgensen

ps. i’m aware of the double-click feature

I think that what you are looking for is the “movement speed” underneath the mousespeed. This is the one controlling how fast you are moving. Mouse speed has to do with how quickly the camera turns around

@Herbo

You are right, but 3.0 is still to slow for this model.

Maybe the slider could use exponential values? (not sure it’s the right word)

But no a big big issue.

Mouse speed does not affect the camera translation speed - only mouse input, e.g. rotation.

If you are talking about navigation speed - try mouse scroll wheel for faster forward/backward navigation and double click for instant teleportation.

hi @Alexander_Devaykin

not sure i get you right - I just want the movement with the WASD keys to be faster.

I know about the double click function, but it’s not suitable for me. Right now I have to press and hold shift every time i move.

But as I wrote, it’s not a big issue, but would be nice to have.

I’m sure [ctrl] moves faster and [ctrl+shift] moves even faster.

(I tend to move too fast with the mouse because I’m used to jumping between SU & Enscape - I can’t recommend a Spacemouse* enough; never use anything else when navigating in Enscape)

Hey @Jorgensen_dk , we have a story filed on our agenda to increase the Movement Speed slider range. Through your voice I’ve added a further upvote to it. Thank you for the feedback!
