Yeah, hyperthreading is enabled already. It’s not seeing your second CPU, hence 1 socket. What does your BIOS or boot screen show? ---

Your missing one CPU you should have two sockets not one if you have a dual cpu’s ---

I would check the BIOS and see what it reads It should list both. ---

The place I purchased it from said to contact Dell support. They told me not to touch the BIOS. So, another little hurdle. ---

Fine, don’t touch the BIOS (why they would tell you that I have no idea). Open up the case and LOOK if there’s a second processor and heatsink. ---

There’s probably a tamperproof sticker on the case that says warranty void if seal broken ---

The dell support said their records shows it is a single processor. I said it better not be and I sent them the receipt. He came back, apologized, and said that it is in fact 2 processors.
