need help for tree!!

Hi all,
I need to make a very very réalistic tree in a closer view, and with an outzoom after to see it in globaly. During this movie the leaf falling down on the ground.
I need white background and I know many thing to do that but I have a F!"#~[ deadline to do it.
I want to know what kind of approach you had to make this thing.
I know, displace bla bla…
but to modelise it I need a piece of advise do I modelise it in total or Take a plugin model (treestorm, xfrog etc…)
thanks for advise

if you have a close up then I would model a tree, use particle flow to ditribute the leafs (more control that way) but if the tree is not at close up then treestorm or whatever other tree plugin could be good.

Thanks morbid angel for your quick reply.
When you speak about particular flow for the leaves how do you do???
I had try before to put leave on tree but the stern doesn’t put where i wanted :? .
thanks

here is the scene where i did a very rough (basic) setup of the pflow

Big thanks morbidangel, it seems to work fine (about the stern)
I’ll study it  .
And to make a perfect mapping of the futur tree, did you have a tips.

nothing is perfect in this world…however the tree you can map using this software:
http://www.polygonal-design.fr/e\_unfold/videos.htm

or, manual projections which is pain in the ass…

ok it seems so good.
thanks
You seem to had the same problem in the past.

just experience

good experience dude

hey, Morbid Angel, unfold 3d is a revolutionary soft!
Do you use the studio version or the freelance?
I have speeking with a developper and the soft is in perpetual improving.
Great they are french
Thanks again, I will post a WIP soon.
cheers

Well we are working with some thing similar…unfortinantly I cant speak of this yet as its confidential and until final release its close to beta users only.
Glad it helps you.

ok, I have buy the freelance version first.

If you don’t mind spending the money, Xfrog trees make nice foreground “hero” trees. As far as commercially-available tree packages go, Xfrog looks the best (in my opinion). What you gain in appearance, though, you naturally pay for in polygon-count. You also don’t have the ability to easily manipulate the trees like you do with Bionatics or Speedtree (but, when they look that good, why would you want to?).

this is the kind of tree that I want. (with the leaves of course and an exellent mapping).

I must make a closer view like this pict or near.

this is for advertizing.
So, xfrog and speed and treestorm can’t help me.
thanks for the advice.

Why can’t you do this with Onyx?

I can’t have good intersections. onyx or other are like cylinder in cylinder.

Why not just stitch up the intersections?

yea, using the new blend tool of max7 that should be possible
you still would have to map it yourself, though…

ok, unfold is just a révolutionary soft to map complicated meshes.
I have started to modelise my tree (pic 1 & 2), In the project I will have white background and the public attention will be attrack only by the tree (without ambiance) so I don’t think that i could have a good result with onyx or other.
I have seen the thread of “lgrohs” with beautifull forest and tree, but this is not the same thing. lgrohs have a forest ambiance. I must have a clinical ambiance but very realistic and in closer view to total view.
I don’t know if you can understand me (my bad english) it’s difficult to explain.
my two problem are mapping and make leaves natural falling.

Oh, why didn’t you say so

For the leaves falling I would use simcloth, or reactor or the like.
