currently Chaossquid is almost stalling due to many reasons. Tho i was very busy at work i have thought about it a lot. I got 2 days off currently and will rework it. Add a new template, update the components and make it more featurecomplete. But i think we have a problem with beeing so “closed” as this puts a lot of people away that we could benefit from. I understand that a lot of the contributers do not want their Assets shared amongst warez users, so my proposal would be a kind of “dual access” scheme. There could be a private area that is limited to proven legit vray users, and a completely public area for everyone to contribute and benefit. Would that still be okay for you ppl ? What are your thoughts on that ?
When I wanted to use it the other day it took me 10 minutes to find a link to it, so I cant imagine many new people are going past it on a regular basis.
back in my accurender/accustudio days a great way to get uploads was for a competition to see who could create and upload the best items, with prizes supplied by sponsers.
well there is no problem using blahSQUID , as the squid is a general tech nerd term for a cache of things, like web cache or in our case a model cache, so unless you call it something like terbohsquid you should be just fine
