Ok, does anybody know why this is happening?
I am using the render strips option with 1.45.7 using a saved IR map. I get the same result when using lightmap or QMC for second bounce.
Thanks,
Tim

different gamma settings is my 1st guess
Well I checked the gamma settings in Viz, and they are set to default (actually not turned on at all). Although, I have adjusted the gamma of one of my displays using the nvidia custom color controls. I didn’t think that would affect the actual output file though…would it?
When I get more time, I’ll play around with it more to see whats going on. But in the meantime, if anybody has had this happen, I would appreciate some advice.
Thanks
looks like your some server haven’t load the irmap
No it’s loading the IR map just fine. If it wasn’t it would all be black except for direct light. I had that problem last time and it was suggested that I path the saved IR map to the ‘c’ drive and copy it to both machines - seemed to work great…other than this small problem.
I had a similiar problem on couple of scenes but not all. If I had “default lights” checked on in Global Switches. I would get darker buckets from the slave. If I turned it off all would be fine.
Don’t know why, it seemed really strange to me.

Hey thanks for the tip. I’ll give it a shot in a little bit.
Oh shoot, I just realized default lights were already turned off. Gotta be something else then.
Ok so its not a gamma problem at all.
I rendered using bucket mode and it came out fine. So the problem is with the IRmap for some reason. I copied it directly from my computer to the render slave so it should be rendering the same - I don’t get it!
