New Asstet System - Help needed

Hi - Of course, this may be written somewhere—but where?
So, now I’m finally equipped with a new computer, the latest SkUp, and the latest Enscape.
Of course, I’m falling into the trap that you’re all probably familiar with: how do I get the assets—both new ones for new projects and those that have now disappeared from all older projects?
I just can’t find the solution—can anyone please guide me to where I can find out how to make this new asset-system work?

(Unfortunately, the steps on the chaos Help Center page "How to fix sign-in issues with V-Ray, Enscape and Corona" do not work and always end with “something went wrong.”)

Problems related to Chaos Cosmos - Page 2 - SketchUp - Enscape

Does anyone have any ideas? Does anyone have any ideas about what could be done? I’m stuck in this cosmos bug loop and I’m simply running out of project time.

Just for testing,

Can you please try

  1. to stop Chaos Unified Login App from Start menu;

  2. Stop and then start Chaos Cosmos Browser from Start menu;

  3. Restart CAD app;

  4. Then to try to login in Cosmos again?

thanks again :thumbup:
I don´t know what 1. and 2. means (should I ?)
3. and 4. I have done about a 100 times today…

(besides installing the latest Enscape preview, I didn’t do anything today at the job that pays my bills.)

welcome to the new chaos !!

:stuck_out_tongue: :wink: ^^ :smiley:

ok thanks, I repeared all Stop & Starts about 20 times

  • nothing helped for the new asset browsing-system
  • and nothing brings back my previously done “old system”- asset configurations

Did you try to stop Chaos Unified Login (without starting after that)? I wanted to see the result of this. Thanks.

:wink: hey, you never rest?

what does “…stop Chaos Unified Login (without starting after that)?” mean? :wink: I don´t understan the question

ok, I stoped Chaos Unified Login now - No SkUp is running - whats to do next?

Hi again,

  1. Stop Chaos Unified Login;
  2. Start the CAD;
    3 Open the asset library;
  3. Click on Sign In;

If you have problems with Enscape, please Start Chaos Unified Login again.

As I mentioned above, I suggest to contact the Chaos support team for solving the issue - How do I contact Support?

Prima Ivan Stefanov !!
One step further! :thumbup: :thumbup: I have no idea so far how to use your browser, but at least the error message is gone and my login is displayed, and there is already one person in the model—however, this person is not being rendered by Enscape

Hm,

Do you experience the same problem with other assets? Please note that when the asset it cached / downloaded locally on or machine, a blue label should be displayed on the top left corner of the asset thumbnail.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Chaos\Cosmos\cb.log contains the logs of the Cosmos Browser. It can show us any errors during downloads, etc.

And one more question - do you use shared license server in your organization?

And again - my suggest is to contact the Chaos support team for solving the issue quickly :slight_smile: - How do I contact Support?

Update and it´s getting better !!!

It appears that this person asset (Konstantin Walking 002) is faulty (on your end?) and is not being rendered—the other assets are now being rendered. We’re making progress (thanks for your patience so far!)

On my side seems to be okay. Can you try to import it on a new scene if you have free time?

While we’re at it, I’ll just shut everything down and restarted. Now that’s guy is finally visible (he didn’t pay his data flat rate).

Is there a user-friendly and simle to understand guide somewhere on how to configure your new asset-browser to avoid further difficulties or errors and to ensure a smooth workflow on the user side?

For example, would this model with your assets also be rendered error-free by my colleagues who are located far away from me?

Actually, the interaction with the Cosmos Browser should be very simple and straightforward. I suspect that you’ve had some local environment issues related to the Cosmos Browser (sorry about that). One important thing to note is that you must be logged in to the Cosmos Browser — you should see your initials in the UI.

Good to know! :thumbup:
…again my question above: would my model with your assets also be rendered error-free by my colleagues who are located far away from me? (Means: Is there something to consider that needs to be preset in your browser settings?)

Yes. If the Enscape and Cosmos Browser working properly, your scene will be rendered without any problems by your colleagues.

Hi, it’s me again on the same topic and urgent request for help!!

While the whole (in my opinion very strange) asset system is now working for me, fortunately, my two colleagues are less fortunate and have been unable to work since the Cosmos change. And this is despite the fact that they are clearly logged in correctly.

What can we do?
