is it just me or the fonts are too big in this new design?

Personally I think they are fine.
By default they don’t seem any bigger/smaller than the old forums. If you are using Firefox you can change the size of the fonts by holding down ctrl and scrolling your mouse wheel. Not sure if that will help you or not.
Fonts aren’t bad… but the icons for posts/new messages are horrible. And the colors are driving me nuts… the old theme was unobtrusive and nice to use. This one has no focus, making the site harder to read.
I think this is the default vbulletin theme; we will likely add other themes ones we are sure the rest of the forum works as expected.

from a readability point of view the new line length is not so good - the eye cannot scan a long line as easily - ok I can make my browser page narrower but that’s not so flexible for other sites
also the fonts do display bigger in Firefox -
but I expect we’ll all be used to it in a few weeks!
I think all of the buttons/icons/smilies should be replaced with VRay rendered goodness
The default visual style of the forum will probably change; we want to make sure that it works as expected first.

why not make a “choose design thead” ? there are loads of styles for vbulletin around. just let users search and throw in a vote at the end?

also… the PM inbox is much smaller, i have 150 pm’s overflowing my 50 pm sized box! … can we please fix that one first 
That’s because vB is actually keeping conversations as threaded. The default view is kinda “classic” view. In your profile you can switch to a threaded view so replies are actually replies to a POST not to a thread as a whole.

its still not perfect.. but better.
Great having the avatars on the sidebar again, sooo much better.
One thing though, the color of the unread thread titles is too light, my old eyes need to work to tell which are read and which are not.

It looks much better now.
Agree with Aldaryn about username position, and would be cool to have a bit narrower caption image so there isn’t always a horizontal bar on the navigator in 1280 displays.
