Don’t know if this will work for you, but i set up the forum in the following way: in the preference/tracking section i added all the categories and sub-categories that i’m interesting in to a tracked list and more importantly i added all the categories that i don’t want to read to a muted list. I then set my home page to the latest in preference/interface section and now the only page that i ever need to be in is https://forums.chaos.com/latest?state=tracking I get all the updated and new topics on top of the list. They are not sorted by categories, but that works fine for me.

Now I have a good setup.
I’ve seen that to see the tracked (and not see the muted) I have to select “Topics” on the left side of the forum interface…just below the “chaosforum” logo.
I think it’s ok now.

I hated the old forum and that it had a separate login, I actually like this new one a lot better. It just makes more sense glancing around, is loading faster, was easier to get to. Am using it on desktop though, sounds like the mobile version is what people dont like.

posting in Issues sub needs some pop-up suggesting sharing problematic file (simplified version). Baba Vanga died 30 years ago and in majority of cases its too hard to tell what’s the problem remotely
I find the new forum a visual mess. I’m exclusively a user of Vray for Maya, I literally NEVER want to see any mention of any other host software, so why are you now forcing me to sort through references to all the other programs that integrate Vray. This makes searching and looking for relevant info far more messy and difficult than it should be.
In addition, the layout and functionality of this new forum are also a mess. It’s just badly designed visually and not optimized for a quick “read” in the comprehension sense of the word as it relates to page layout. Your fonts are almost all the same size, and from a basic graphic design perspective is a failure.

I gave up trying to follow the instructions after one minute, which is about how long I’m prepared to spend on trying to understand poorly written instructions of any kind.

As you pointed out at first look it might be difficult to navigate the forums and find the relevant sections for you. We are working on improving navigation and the look of the forums.
