A simple question, where can I find really nice shingle texture library.

quite basic, but still:

I personnaly do it from a mix of asphalt textures blend together, with painted lines for bump/seams

There is not a lot of libraries available on the net for those kind of textures.

Maybe those one’s will be a good start.

Certainteed’s website is pretty good, you can pick a style, then when you go to pick a color it has straight-on views of each.

Thanks Dapeter, Certainteed.com is a nice site for images of shingles with straight on views, and with nice shadowing.

noise maps and tiles.

I was going the noisemap tiles route for a while, but found that my render times were longer with a decent mix of noise than a small image of tiles made tileable in Photoshop. It also takes some pressure off of me when I can say to the customer that they are getting the brand that they asked for with similar colors right out of the book.
