The train smoke is based on the large scale smoke preset. It just uses the Follow Path Force the move the smoke along a spline.
Thank you ! And is it using two grids for some reason or one?
It has two grids, just so that there is smoke at the front and on the back of the train without having to do another simulation that covers the whole train, though you could use one simulator and it will be fine.
