No motion blur with V-Ray Rt and IPR not updating motion blur

Hi,

I can’t seem to be able to get motion blur with V-Ray RT Cuda cpu +gpu. I am working on a skinned character.

I can only get it with v-ray adv but a problem I have there is that it’s not updating in the ipr when I change the duration value.

Also if I go to another frame in rt-mode ipr my character is broken in parts, some are updating to the other frame some stays like at previous frame.

I got back to my scene and now it seems it’s only when using ipr with rt cuda that I get no motion blur. If I do an iterative rendering of a frame it works. I tied to render my animation with production rendering (RT cuda again) and it always crash.

when I try to render, the first frame almost finishes, then all my screens becomes black (I have 3 monitors) and then sometimes max also crash sometimes not. I see in the V-Ray message in red: error: 1 error(s). 0 warning.

Forgot to mention I am using max 2017 on win 7 and V-Ray 3.60.02 official version

Hello,

It would be best if you could send the scene to our support - they can check for all the problems mentioned.

I can only get it with v-ray adv but a problem I have there is that it’s not updating in the ipr when I change the duration value.

This is a known limitation of Adv IPR for now - none of the render settings are updated while it is running.

Best regards,
Yavor

Motion Blur seems to work fine here in Production and ActiveShade with the following modes: CUDA(GPU only) / CUDA(CPU only) / CUDA(CPU + GPU). What does not work is when frame is changed, the first frame always work but when changed Motion Blur disappears.
This is a bug and it even happens with RT CPU - will make a note about it and will fix it.

Updating MB Duration indeed doesn’t work with IPR - will make a note about that also.

Regarding the character broken in parts when changing the frame with IPR - this also looks like a bug, would it be possible to send us a scene for investigation?

Regarding the crash with RT Cuda, we will also need a scene for this one as well.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Ok I’ll send one scene soon. Thanks
