no vray render licenses when there are internet problems?

hello,

is that really correct that when we have internet problems (providerbased), that we cant render here?
how often does our floating vray license server asks for the online licenses at chaos?

The server asks every time you check out a license. If you’re concerned that you may experience a network outage you can borrow the licenses - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/…or+Offline+Use
That way the license server will sync with the backend only once in 2 weeks. The licenses will be obtained from a file in your local license server machine.
Also - it’s best if you use the latest license server for that - Download | My Chaos

our IT person said he has to renew that borrowing thing manually every 2 weeks… is that correct like this and is that intended to work like this ?

sorry, just found in the description : Their renewal happens automatically

he said to me that the server in any way said that he has to do things manually every two weeks… time has come now to try it out.
