I am rendering a scene with one vray light and omni light with GI and other with default settings. But the noise is coming up in the scene. Please tell me how to remove the noise from the scene. I am rendering a
scene at high resolution.
After watching the link posting above… i got the answer that noise will remove by increasing the light subdivisions or samples. But i don’t know how to change these. Please tell me under which heading i have to
increase it.
Select your light and you will find the subdivisions at bottom of the general parameters. Set it to 20 or 30. That must be fine!
Cheers
Mark it depends on the size of the light to how many Subdivs you give it ! so be carefull … small light’s with high subdivs will take a long time to render !

Yes, yes almost forgot about, thanks!
I don’t find out the subdivisions in the general rollout can you post the screenshot.
select vraylight>modify>parameters>sampling>subdivisions
All this stuff is on your command panel. (Right side of your display) Customize>Show UI>Show command panel.
I found it in the Vray light but the subdivisions not available for the omni and spot lights.
And the diffuse subdivs available in the light settings…what are they?
Make sure that you have VRayShadows selected.
It’s in the manual

Jesus Jon … 1000 x 1000 x 1000 …that is high ..
not for a skyscraper sized window…

What is the problem with that? That is a 2000x2000 mm window. A normal sized window.
Am I wrong???
Anyway I don’t understand why you changed the Wsize parameter that does nothing
It just depends on the scale of your scene. That could be sharp shadows or incredibly blurry shadows.
Yeah … mm , cm , m
I didn’t understand first why is 1000x1000 is so high when you didn’t knew what units he use. So he use mm probably.
Ok guys thanks, i thought I am missing some basic max knowledge.
Just a Joke mark…Its Friday …
Hey, actually forget you guys and your “REAL WORLD UNITS”
Just kidding
I’m not positive why it’s that size. I think I just drew it in the view port I was working in and rounded it off. Probably just hit an extra “Tab>1000”. What is the W size for anyway. I know it must relate to Box and Sphere but it’s Plane and Sphere in the VRayLight and I’ve always assumed it’s actually a Plane for point lights too. It doesn’t appear to do anything perceivable but I haven’t run any tests. Maybe Vlado was planning ahead for other features like different types than Plane and Sphere.
