Noise problem in simple refraction

Hi,

I have this big problem I need to solve. But I tried almost everything and cant fix that.

Picture is a crop of an image at 200%. Whole picture is pretty clean but as you can see in a door glass its so noisy. Behind the glass there is only built-in wardrobe with base materials, nothing special. I used BF+LC with automatic subdivs and it does not matter what I set to GlobalDMC, Sample Rate is still blue which is not possible. I tried to disable automatic subdivs but didnt help. When set glass refraction glossiness to 1 its ok of course but I want to be blured. Never happen something like this to me so what I can do please?

Thank you for any advice.

That is strange. Do you have any displacement or bump applied on the glass? What is your MIn shading rate set to? Can you attach an image with the glossiness set to 1?

Please, any help?

any chance you can strip everything from the scene and leave the glass, cameras and post the scene here to see whats happening?

Its for a client so I cant post it here.

But please, someone from Chaos Group, can I send it to support mail to check it?

I figured and thats why I asked if you could just save out the glass its self and nothing else from the scene. In any case I wouldnt wait for Chaos to chime in here, I would send the scene right away to support and drop in a reference to this thread as well and wait for them to reply that way which may be considerably faster. Hope it gets sorted for you.

Just an after thought as well, maybe on the glass object its self drop on a UVW Map and set it to box or plain and make it about 1/4 the size of the door and see if that affects the glossiness of it at all.

have you tried resetting vray ? just a thought.

Yes, please do. You can send the scene to support@chaosgroup.com. Mention this thread in your message. Thanks.

Scene sent. Thank you.

So, anything new about this one? Is there any problem in scene?

Anything new about this one? Is the problem with retrace solved?

Not yet, sorry - the issue is still open. We’ll update this thread when we have any updates.

This is now fixed for the next beta and in stable 3.6 nighties.
