Here is an image I have been working on. The modeling isn’t very good because the architect changed things daily so the model is pretty hacked up. I think it is looking nice otherwise. any comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

Jesus Christ!
This is simply great! Much better than those churches that you’ve done before.
Wow, thumbs up!
The background, is it all 3d?
Churches
I have learned a lot reading and watching you guys work. have spent the past several months reading my hand drawings and perspective books as well. I hope to improve more in the next six months then I did in the last six months.
Background
The background trees are 50-50. The white ones are real (3d in the model) and the other ones (real Trees) pasted into a matrl id channel using PS.
Very nice image Bobby!
Like a pailhead said this is a great improvement in your work…
My compliments
Excellent work!
Nice work..very close to realism, overall feel of the environment is just excellent:)
can u post wireframe,please?
Good luck and keep coming!
very very well done. You really have improved. I just wish you would do something about your roof textures lol. This one is improved but its still very tiled. Now just redo the roof and those awful pink window frames and stick this one in your personal portfolio.
Bobby,
great work really nice and tasteful lighting,
you should pull up an image you did about a year ago and compare, then pat yourself on the back.
Tom
totally agree with above posted.
there is one thing though, there seem to be a issue with your alpha on the bush leaves in the lower right corner, other that that: very nice!
Very nice job…that alpha issue seems more like a layered DOF issue to me (RGB Blured, Alpha not)
Regards,
Thorsten
You’ve hit the mood perfectly! Really nice composition! And finally, a non flat terrain… grass looks convincing too, so there’s really not much to crit. Good job.
Best regards,
A.
hi ![]()
I think this is very good job too. congrats!
small crit
are windows reddish pink? I think is a problem with shader. no?
what do u mean pasted into material ID channel? can you explain more?
material id
The background is an image so I assign a material ID to it and use the vray material ID render element. In PS I select the color and paste into. You can also render with the Environment as black and save the alpha channel. I’ll have to fix those window frames. I am not even sure what color they are supposed to be.

ok understood what you mean ![]()
Very, very, very beautiful image. those trees are onyx?
Gustavo
Intersting choice of lighting. You don’t see often that the main subject is in shadows. Mood is great. Keep up the good work.
Zoran
Trees
The trees are Evermotion trees.
I love the feedback on this forum. Other forums are wanting typical light setups, fluffy clouds, and full leaved trees. You guys seem to be more artist then software users. Not that I am any great artist, but I do try to create a mood and not just a rendering.
Interior
Here is the interior of the same project. Extremely high render time. I had to bump setting so high to get rid of noise. any tips?

love it!
