hi,

I setup a simple nParticle system with cloud type.
When I render it with maya, it looks correct.

When I try to render it with vray, all particles become only black balls.
Is there a trick?
Maya2011, Vray2 - 2004

thanks

We don’t support the cloud particles for the moment. Some of the other types should work (spheres, sprites, multi-point, multi-streak etc).

Best regards,
Vlado

Is the cloud type still not supported apparently? I suppose I would have to use a sprite to get easy smoke rendering with vray?

We still don’t support cloud particles, sorry. You should get a V-Ray message in the Maya script editor if a particle type you’re trying to render is not supported.
