Numeric entry of sun position/time of day

Why is there no method to just enter the time of day you want in Enscape’s sun settings? This should be a simple procedure. Mucking around trying to get as close as possible to a specific time with the “U” & “I” keys doesn’t really cut it.

It might not be realistic, but would be artistic and helpful to create special views if the video editor would allow for a “sun position” in place of or in addition to the “time of day” for keyframes. Time of day could also use time of year if it were to be more realistic. But if a specific sun position is selected, that should have precedence over “time” in a keyframe. When I say sun position, I mean just like the sun position feature when creating a scene.

Taking a video around a house. You can set your lighting as you’re looking at the front to where it looks good. you can retain the time of day. you move to one side and set the time of day a bit different to still get sun on it in a decent position. by the time you get to the back of the house you can’t keep good lighting. I would think it’d be easy to set the time of day along with the sun rotation and then as you go around the house it just works it’s way to the newly set sun rotation the same way it would with time of day…game changer

Agreed, just like the visual settings, everything that has a slider (time of day especially) should have the option for a numeric option.

there could be a more precise panel for adjusting the time and position of the sun. It’s very difficult to do this using just the controls. If there was a map to select. And it would be good for the program to save these positions by project
