Hi, dear ChaosGroup support.
Today I saw this news - NVIDIA Ends SLI Support and is Transitioning to Native Game Integrations (read terminated)
It is very old, but I saw it just now and now I want to ask you about NVLink on 2080Ti =)
So now we don’t need to enable SLI for V-ray to use NVlink in the Nvidia Contol Panel? Right? Or still, need to turn on it? =)
Or now NVLink just won’t work in V-Ray?
Yes, this is about games, but OTOY support gave me it today when I spoke with them about NVLink in Octane =)
Thank you and have a great day
Best regards,
Andrew.
yeah would be good to get an answer to this.
I just saw Chaos presentation on GDC 21 and they mentioned that V-Ray GPU is first rendered which supports NVLink so…idk but they also mentioned that results between CPU and GPU are perfectly matching…they “forgot” to mention tons of errors, crashes and artifacts that we all facing using GPU engine
Hi,
SLI has different meanings and it’s confusing. The following article is about AFR SLI which was a technique used for games. The SLI option in the control panel is unrelated to that and instead enables/disables the linked display adapter, which is necessary for NVlink.
You need a motherboard that supports SLI as well. Find out more about how to setup NVlink for V-Ray GPU in the following article:

@Martin.Minev Thanks, I am trying my best to report stuff and sending files but with a constant deadlines it is difficult, especially when almost every scene has some little issues, I can’t spend all day on the forum.
