Trying to create realistic nylon wire shader, but with no luck, see attached screenshots, maybe someone has any clue how to achieve believable results?
You need a two layer material
download a carbon fiber weave pattern online, set that to bump and aniso channel of layer 1
layer 2 is a clear coat
Could you please guide me and show me some screenshots please?
Here’s a different approach, since I consider nylon cable protective layer made of plastic fibers alike… so it’s simple shader (diffuse, anisotropic reflection, bump & SSS for the kicks).
Texture maps are from the Jin (an odd but great visionary
- To fit, edit, rotate, crop or do whatever suits you.
