Occasionally VRay Lights just "break"?

I can’t be the only one that has set up a scene where you’ve been working with it for a week or so, rendering out multiple animated sequences, everything looks great until… You open it up the next day and something looks a little off. So you start looking at render settings, maybe Environment and Exposure settings, and then finally you start looking at the lights. Everything appears A-OK in terms of the Properties/Modifier Stack except: There will be a light that is no longer actually lighting the scene. You move it, crank up the lumens, whatever; no change. It’s just dead.

Of course, you can go back and Merge/Replace the light from an Autobak file, or from an incremental Save, but that doesn’t exactly mean the problem isn’t one.

I assume there is no actual solution to this, but I figured I’d ask anyway. Cheers

It’s the first i hear of this.
It would be great if you had a scene which exhibited the issue to pass along for dev investigation.

However, Max scene corruption isn’t a new thing, and when it happens, the only way to have everything work fine again is a merge into a new scene.
When scene corruption strikes, it can strike anywhere, so perhaps this time it was the turn of one V-Ray light.
But if you think the issue is a resident one, by all means kindly pass along the offending scene!
