Im having problems getting the right look with this shot. Its a tricky job anyway as the client wants no flooring (just the underlay), and no furniture etc… He also wants the chrome ball!?!.
The problem im getting is that there simply is nothing of any colour or shape to add ‘body’ to the image or the Gi, and Im stuck with a rather grey, over-exposed or under-exposed) image -- two versions enclosed.

it seems like a very good image to me
i prefer the first one though by far
maybe if you added some detail outside of the windows… a very faint white to blue gradient or something.
you could also add something behind the camera ( a photographer perhaps, or the other half of the floor with loads of furniture and people etc.) and bring the ball slightly closer to your camera.
it would be an interesting combination

i suppuse maybe the scale of the floor mat is too large and it messes with the scale of that large space…
also i would reduce the reflectance value of the floor and ceiling, anyways the first pict is very close too real…i would increase the brightness of the direct light so that the contrs«ast u got fits in nicely…just my 2 cents…

I played alot with these settings and wanted to make sure that there wasnt too much burn-out - good point about the map size…although this is temporary.

Well the raised floor has been an issue, but Im getting a reference photo today so will incorporate. I guess it does look like vinyl

What a fabulous idea! - I thought about this more and may even try it - to have the occupied space in a reflection, as a suggestion, with the empty space infront… cool concept…

To me it looks fine except for the underlay which looks like a marble type material.
I don’t know what underlay looks like where you live, but here it is a spongey light blue looking stuff usually with a “diamond” shape imprinted on it across the whole surface.
