When I open Rhino and want to render in Vray and open the Vrar panel on which the 3 letters M, O,F is there and then click on O>File>Load>, i only get .visopt options. Since all my materials are in .vismat, I cannot use them..How to i Get the additional option of loading the file in .vismat ???

materials are .vismats, and you load them with the v-ray material editor. render options are .visopts, and you load them with the v-ray option editor.

To use the material you have to load thed on our material editor. To open a material editor click on the first icon of the V-Ray toolbar (the one with the 'M"). Then right click on Scene Materials" and select “Import New Material”. Then select your desired >vismat from your hard drive.

There are two reason to receive that message, one is that you are using a very old version and the materials were made in the new version. The other reason is that the materials are corrupted.
