Options - Environment - GI (Skylight) won't work

I just started learning about vray via online manual but environment GI setting won’t work on mine.

I have set the option settings exactly the way the manual shown here: Chaos: Industry-leading design and visualization software

But when I change the GI color, it won’t change from light blue to almost while when I render

can someone help me with this please?!

Be sure that “Default Light”, Physical camera are disable and the ‘m’ near GI and BG should me lower case.

The m’s next to the GI and BG under environment were capital M so i changed the type to “none” to make them small m’s. now when i render, the whole background turns black. my default and camera are turned off.

help me please!
