Panorama tour of kitchen with Virtual Staging

  • 160 Panos rendered (SketchUp and Enscape)
  • 8 Masks painted (Affinity Photo)
  • 158 Cutout hotspot overlays from the above (Affinity Designer)
  • 2 Viewpoints
  • 105 Buttons (Affinity Designer)
  • And a bucket load of 3DVista actions to make it all work

Due to the number of overlays I’ve restricted it to desktop only, if you view it on mobile you’ll get a nice message telling to you use a Desktop comp.

Edit:

This tour has now been joined by a 2nd one for the hall and lounge. To keep the loading times ‘manageable’ they are in a separate tour. You can visit them by clicking on the ‘TO HALL’ text.

That’s a ton of work. Looks great!

I have been asked to do something similar for a clients house I’ve rendered. Do you recommend any software or service for making panoramic walkthroughs?

I Use 3DVista for all my pano tours: https://www.3dvista.com/en/

For my usual tours eg https://www.tours.blockcpm.studio/00_sandbox/tour/ my basic process is to setup, batch render and export 20-30 panos and then import them into 3DV where I can link them into a tour. Then it’s a case of giving the tour a skin, adding stuff like the floor plans, video etc and exporting for use on our website.

The kitchen I linked in the 1st post is a bit different as all the options need to be created as png’s for overlaying and then a lot of controls have to be setup to show them.

This is really impressive, especially with how many options the user has to choose from. I also applaud you for having the patience to export and import every single one of these images, I can’t even begin to imagine the time frame one needs to give for just this one space!

Careful setting up with SketchUp tags and scenes and the rendering is easy enough and I’ve now got a good Affinity Designer workflow for the masking and exporting of the png overlays.

3DVista makes the setting up of the panos and overlays easy(ish), the controls are laborious to rig up but not difficult, overall it’s not too bad.

Really awesome. Thank you for sharing.

Some serious work and skills there Pual, client must be over the moon with that level of detail and work, bravo
