Hi

has anyone tryed the max9 Panorama exporter with vray1.5 final? all i get is black frames?

Could someone try it for me please, not sure if its a local problem.

Hi Natty,

Just tried it and Max fast exits…

I’ll have another go now but you do know that QTVR doen’t work under XP64? Have you tried it with Max 9 and XP(x86)?

Thanks mate, im just using the standard max exporter, it works but vray just renders black frames? odd..

Well you’ve got further than I have. I get fast exits from:
Max 9 x64 SP2 VRay 1.50.00 XPx64
Max 9 x86 SP2 VRay 1.50.00 XPx86
Both with Quicktime 7.2.

There’s always the spherical camera then convert it to a quicktime option. It also has the advantage that you can use backburner to render. Or if you’re in a fix I can convert any 2:1 aspect image to QTVR.

Thanks … we have kinda run out of time on this one now, and just done a set of stills instead, again thanks for the help..

It does not work here either - not crashing, but not rendering anything either; since it’s reproducible it should be easy to fix (to be honest I’ve never used this feature of 3ds Max).

we use this feature all the time.

Does the Panorama Exporter work with VRay cams? On the drop down list I only get regular max cams. Even using a max cam the panorama comes out all white. If the frame buffer is on it crashes instantly.
